Jonathan entered the reinsurance industry in 1982. He spent eight years working on the Middle East account for Willis Faber & Dumas before moving to the Willis Faber International office in Singapore. He spent the following 18 years working in the ASEAN, Indian Subcontinent and North Asian regions, first as Regional Reinsurance Director for Willis Faber and subsequently in production and managerial roles with Jardine Lloyd Thompson and Arthur J Gallagher. Jonathan joined ACR in 2008. He holds a Master of Arts (Arabic & Law) from Pembroke College, Cambridge.

Patrick is Managing Director, Operations & Finance for ACR ReTakaful MEA. Prior to joining the company he was General Manager with the Bahrain National Holding Group of companies. He has held senior management positions in Lloyd’s of London with the SPAL Managing Agency (now part of the Travelers Group) and with ARIG as Head of Actuarial Services. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Actuarial Science) from City University, London.

Swee Chee entered the reinsurance industry in 1990 following a 10-year career in engineering. Beginning with SOREMA, he was later appointed CEO of RSA Re in Singapore. In 2007, he joined ACR Singapore with responsibility for the Middle East market, and was transferred to ACR ReTakaful MEA in July 2009 as Chief Underwriting Officer. Swee Chee holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Singapore and Bachelor of Law from the University of London, U.K. He is also a qualified Professional Engineer with the PE Board (Singapore) and a Chartered Insurer of the Chartered Insurance Institute, U.K.

Kirk has over 27 years’ experience in the insurance industry. He began his career in 1982 with London broker E.W. Payne. After 10 years’ servicing treaty reinsurance clients from Asia and the Far East he joined Willis, where in 1994 he relocated to Jakarta to establish the company’s Indonesian operation. Following 8 years in Indonesia, Kirk moved to Hong Kong, as CEO of Willis’ combined retail and reinsurance operation there. After subsequent spells at Lockton and Aon, Kirk joined ACR in December 2008 where he now holds the position of Chief Marketing Officer, ACR ReTakaful MEA.

Mojgan is also the dedicated Energy Underwriter. She brings to these roles over 20 years of international reinsurance experience, having previously been an Energy & Property Underwriter at ARIG and later Assistant General Manager - Commercial, Industrial and Energy Underwriting at Bahrain National Insurance. She has also served as Insurance Manager for Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Business Administration) from the University of Bahrain.

Peter has over 28 years’ experience in the Property and Engineering insurance and reinsurance industry, underwriting risk managed construction and operational risks for major industries worldwide during his international assignments in the USA, London, Brussels and Zurich. Since 1986 he has held senior positions in leading Engineering insurers and reinsurers, including UK Branch Manager of Kemper Insurance, UK Managing Director of TELA Versicherung, UK Engineering Manager for Royal & SunAlliance, Global Head of Engineering for GE Insurance Solutions and most recently head of the Global Engineering Product Centre for Swiss Re, based in Zurich. Peter is a qualified Mechanical Engineer and spent 10 years in Research and Development before joining the insurance industry.

Chris has 16 years experience in treaty underwriting positions which he spent mainly at SCOR (Paris). He then worked two years at Nasco (Paris) as Senior Executive Director for Treaty before moving to the Middle East. He has long experience in Francophone regions across the Levant and the Maghreb. He holds a Master of Arts (International Relations) from American University, Washington, DC.

Ahmed was previously Assistant Treaty Underwriter with ARIG, Bahrain, where he spent 5 years before joining ACR ReTakaful MEA in November, 2008. He holds a Diploma from the City & Guilds of London Institute, an Advanced Insurance Diploma from the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance and a Professional Insurance Certificate from the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Joedi Kydd has experience in both the reinsurance underwriting and broking industries. After five years Casualty underwriting with Munich Reinsurance in Australia Joedi then spent time within Aon in both their direct and reinsurance operations. Joedi was awarded the Young Insurance Professional of the Year by the Australian and New Zealand Insurance Institute in 2000 and holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Post Graduate Diploma in Insurance.
