ZAINAL ABIDIN M NOOR
Chief Executive Officer
Zainal has worked in mainly the Maybank Group of Companies. He progressed from business development to claims and underwriting and culminated his career with his appointment as CEO of Etiqa Insurance. Between these he has more than 30 years of experience in the Malaysian insurance industry. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and a Chartered Insurer, and attended the AMP at Wharton School. He contributed much to the Malaysian insurance industry during his tenure as the chairman of the General Insurance Association of Malaysia and was a member of the Executive Council of the East Asia Insurance Congress and the Board of the Malaysian Insurance Institute.
SAKINAH DATO’ SALLEH
Marketing Director
Sakinah has 30 years of experience in the Malaysian insurance industry. She started her career in the industry in direct underwriting company UMI (United Malayan Insurance). She went on to reinsurance at the Malaysian branch of Gerling Global Re for 11 years where she held a senior management position. Subsequently, she joined Guy Carpenter & Co. Labuan Ltd. as General Manager of their KL Marketing Office. Her last position was also as General Manager of another Labuan-based international reinsurance broker. She holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Malaya.
NOOR HARIZA MD DAUD
Head, Underwriting
Hariza has worked in various underwriting and management positions at MNI Insurance, Amanah Insurance, AXA Affin Assurance and Munich Re, and has 20 years of insurance and reinsurance experience. In her last posting she was the driving force behind the successful establishment of a retakaful entity here in Malaysia. She is a Chartered Insurer and holds an Advanced Diploma in Business Studies (Insurance) from Mara University of Technology.
RAZAK NORDIN
Head, Finance and Administration
Razak has 15 years of experience in finance and accounting including more than 10 years in management positions. Prior to joining ACR ReTakaful SEA, he was heading the Finance function as a Senior Manager in Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Berhad. He is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants of UK and a Chartered Accountant under the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
PAUL RAJAN
Head, Corporate Development & Compliance
Paul has more than 25 years of experience in both the conventional insurance and retakaful markets, having been involved in reinsurance, direct underwriting and business development. He is a holder of a Master of Business Administration Degree in Insurance and Financial Services and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of United Kingdom and Associate of the Malaysian Insurance Institute. He was also holding key positions in various PIAM Technical Committees formalising guidelines and market practices, apart from contributing to the Malaysian Insurance Institute as a qualified lecturer on technical subjects in Insurance and reinsurance. His last appointment prior to joining ACR ReTakaful (SEA) was as the Chief Operating Officer of a Labuan-based retakaful operator.
